Go to the Riverside Avondale Preservation office at 2623 Herschel Street (just north of King Street in Riverside), or the Riverside Arts Market on Saturdays and purchase your kit. $36; cash or check please. Here’s what the “squares” look like:
Your $36 buys two wooden “squares” AND the exhibit fee….4 weeks per square at the Riverside Arts Market. Lots of people will see your art. We sell a lot of art. Create art! Paint it, decorate it, do a mosaic, attach your work in metal/glass/wood/etc, whatever. Your completed art must not exceed the box square by more than ¼ inch on any side, nor 1 inch in front; i.e., 3” total depth. And your work must be able to withstand possible periodic exposure to sun, wind, rain (very rare), and weekly storage and transportation. You must agree to hold RAM Art Gallery harmless if any damage occurs to your work. |

Each of your completed works of art will be displayed for 4 weeks at RAM. Once the Gallery is full, only one work per artist will be shown at any given time. After 4 weeks (or earlier if your first work sells) your second work will be put on display. The gallery will be open every Saturday at RAM. Unsold works will be placed on sale at ELEMENTAL Gallery in the Jacksonville Landing for 4 additional weeks, then at additional sites that we may arrange. Sales at sites other than RAM are subject to a 25% sales commission. You may retreive your art at any time. You set the sales price for the works you submit. All net proceeds from sales at the RAM Gallery go to you. The sales price you set will include sales tax; we retain the transaction fee if a credit card is used for payment, and remit the remainder to you. Reporting and payment of Florida state sale tax is your responsibility. Each artist who participates agrees and accepts that damage may occur to their art work; we’ll really try to care for it but sooner or later we’re going to ding something. Wind, sunlight, and a bit of rain may affect the “Gallery” at RAM. Art works submitted must be able to tolerate this environment and you agree to hold-harmless RAM Art Gallery, it’s staff, cooperating galleries and volunteers in case of any damage to your art. Art may be rejected for any of the following reasons:
No refund will be given for rejected art; you may reuse and resubmit the square. Bring your completed art works to the Riverside Avondale Preservation office at 2623 Herschel Street, just north of King Street in Riverside (Tuesday-Friday, 10am-2pm), to RAM on Saturdays, or to Elemental Gallery at Jacksonville Landing (www.elemental.name). Fill in the boxes and write your name on the back of the work, fill in the “display cards” enclosed, and enclose your business cards and/or brochures – these remain with the art work when sold. We will notify you is your work sells or if it is finally time to pick it up. You may wish to donate 10% of your art sales roceeds to the RAM Art Gallery, please indicate that on your form. The RAM Art Gallery is operated by Riverside Arts Market which is a non-profit charitable corporation. During all this time, your work will have been photographed and displayed on the website ‘Grid’, with a link to your name, contact, website, and gallery if you are represented. Additionally, we will post many of your art works on our facebook page to increase interest in the site and your art.
